Try It! Hike 1: Wendover Circular

Join us for our first Try It! Hike of the year! You need to have purchased one of our two memberships to join us on this hike (Free/Remote or Full). Membership can be purchased on the UCL Hiking Club page on the Students' Union Website.

Due to Covid, we have a maximum capacity of 30 people on each hike, so we ask that you sign up with the Eventbrite link (listed below) to confirm your spot. This is on a first-come, first-serve basis, so if you're interested we recommend signing up quickly! We also ask that you only sign up for one Try It! hike, so everyone can get a spot.

Full details for the hike (tickets, meeting place and time, what to bring, etc.) will be sent out in an email to those who have signed up for the hike.

This energetic walk serves as a fine introduction to the Chiltern Hills, first passing through woodland, then descending into hidden vales and fields before emerging out onto the Chiltern escarpment above Princes Risborough at a spot that commands panoramic views of the countryside below. The return to Wendover goes through wooded valleys and hills reminiscent of an earlier age. Then the walk continues along a fine open section of the escarpment, with grand views north, before descending to the plains for a leisurely finish, in contrast to the landscape passed earlier.
