Try It! Hike 4: Beaconsfield Circular
Time & Location
About The Event
Join us for our fourth and final Try It! Hike! You need to have purchased one of our two memberships to join us on this hike (Free/Remote or Full). Membership can be purchased on the UCL Hiking Club page on the Students' Union Website.
Due to Covid, we have a maximum capacity of 30 people on each hike, so we ask that you sign up with the Eventbrite link (listed below) to confirm your spot. This is on a first-come, first-serve basis, so if you're interested we recommend signing up quickly! We also ask that you only sign up for one Try It! hike, so everyone can get a spot.
Full details for the hike (tickets, meeting place and time, what to bring, etc.) will be sent out in an email to those who have signed up for the hike.
This walk is close to London. It passes the cottage of the poet John Milton in Chalfont St Giles and comes to Jordans, a hamlet with Quaker links. In between, there is typical Buckinghamshire countryside to enjoy – gently rolling wooded hills – enough to provide interest without being too tiring! Navigation through Hodgemoor Woods in the morning can be challenging, so bring along a compass to help you keep to the correct paths.
WALK LEADERS: Kacper Zdzieborski, Helen McGlade WALK DISTANCE: 19 km WALK TERRAIN: Includes unsurfaced paths or tracks that may become muddy WALK TOTAL ASCENT: 200m If you have any concerns about the walk terrain due to disabilities or medical conditions please speak to the walk leader, so that we can make arrangements or plan future hikes that meet your needs.
